Aeroflot airline plans to implement direct flights from Yekaterinburg to Nachang.
In an exciting development for travellers, Aeroflot has announced direct flights from Yekaterinburg's Koltsovo International Airport to Nha Trang, Vietnam, starting September 29, 2025. The flights will be operated twice a week on Airbus A330 aircraft, with departures scheduled for Mondays and Fridays.
This new route marks an expansion in long-haul travel options from Yekaterinburg, supporting increased Russian outbound travel to Asia and popular tourist markets.
Beyond Nha Trang, Aeroflot also plans direct flights to other Vietnamese cities, including Cam Ranh, although the latter route will originate from Irkutsk.
While Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, UAE, Egypt, and Turkey are popular long-haul destinations among Russian travellers, specific direct flight information for these locations from Yekaterinburg in 2025 is not yet confirmed. However, connections via major hubs with airlines like Emirates (which flies Yekaterinburg to Chennai) could serve as potential alternatives.
In related news, Gelendzhik Airport has begun accepting tourists, and earlier, Ural Airlines resumed flights to Gelendzhik. Flights to Gelendzhik operate three times a week, with ticket sales currently open. The price of a one-way ticket for this route starts at 45,800 rubles.
China remains an important destination for Yekaterinburg, catering to outbound tourism, business, and potential inbound tourism. The situation regarding a third arrival point from Yekaterinburg to China is expected to become clearer in February.
For travellers planning ahead, it's worth noting that Asia, including China, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, are becoming increasingly popular among travellers for 2025. Recommendations for long-haul destinations also include Bangkok, India (Goa), Sri Lanka (Mattala), the UAE (Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi), Egypt, and Turkey (Istanbul and Antalya).
Departure from Yekaterinburg for the new Nha Trang route is at 21:10, with a flight time of 9 hours 15 minutes. Ticket sales for the Yekaterinburg-Nha Trang route are currently open.
