Airline Belavia expanding its network with a new travel route.

In an exciting development for travel enthusiasts, Belarus' national airline, Belavia, has announced a new charter program offering direct flights from Minsk to Vietnam's Phu Quoc Island. These flights will take place on October 12 and October 23, 2025, marking a significant step towards making tropical Asia more accessible and affordable.

Flight Details

The charter flights will be operated using the Airbus A330-200 aircraft, a modern and comfortable choice for long-haul flights. The outbound flight (B28197) is scheduled to depart from Minsk at 06:50, arriving in Phu Quoc at 21:00. The return flight (B28198) will depart Phu Quoc at 22:55, arriving in Minsk the next day at 05:45.

Cost and Visa Information

While specific pricing details for the charter flights have not been disclosed, it's worth noting that a package tour to Phu Quoc Island for two people, including a three-star hotel with breakfast for 11+1 nights, is approximately $2900.

Regarding visa requirements, it's essential to note that Vietnam generally requires a visa for Belarusian travelers, but visitors should check the current visa requirements and may require a visa prior to travel or qualify for e-visa or visa on arrival if applicable.

Additional Context

Phu Quoc International Airport (PQC) is fully equipped to handle international flights like Belavia’s A330-200 and has the capacity to accommodate tourists arriving on such direct flights.

This charter program is part of Belavia's expanding charter program and follows the implementation of a visa-free regime between Belarus and Vietnam, effective from January 30, 2025. Vietnam, with its tropical climate, world-class beaches, waterfalls, coral reefs, pearl farms, fishing villages, and stunning sunsets, has become an increasingly popular travel destination.

Starting October 12, 2025, Belarusians will have a direct flight option to Vietnam, making it easier and more convenient to explore this beautiful destination.
