Black-Owned Tour Companies Surge, Empowering Travelers
The travel industry is witnessing a surge in Black-owned tour companies, catering specifically to the needs and experiences of Black travelers. These companies not only provide safe spaces for exploration but also foster a strong sense of community and encourage authentic cultural connections.
Dipaways, founded by Dricks Everette, stands out as a luxury group travel company dedicated to the Black travel community. It aims to create connections and a sense of belonging among Black travelers. Similarly, Nomadness Travel Tribe, established by Evita Robinson, has evolved from an online community to a global travel collective with thousands of members. It focuses on global citizenship and cultural exchange.
Black Girls Travel Too (BGTT), an international travel club empowering millennial Black women, creates immersive cultural experiences. Luxe Tribes, founded by Chidi Ashley, specializes in curating group travel meet-ups and private experiences for Black travelers while supporting local communities. Up In The Air Life, founded by Claire Soares, is a boutique travel agency that empowers Black travelers to travel confidently among like-minded individuals.
