Bountifield & iDE Join Forces to Empower Rural Entrepreneurs, Especially Women
Minneapolis-based Bountifield International and Denver-based International Development Enterprises (iDE) have joined forces as of January 1, 2022. The partnership combines Bountifield's post-harvest expertise with iDE's extensive global reach to empower more rural entrepreneurs and communities, particularly women.
The integration allows Bountifield to expand its post-harvest processing solutions across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, thanks to iDE's established field operations. Both organizations are committed to empowering rural entrepreneurs and avoiding simple charity. Former Bountifield CEO Alexandra Spieldoch sees this as a way to increase scale and support more entrepreneurs.
The partnership aims to empower women entrepreneurs, with the potential to add $12 trillion to the global GDP and boost economic output by 35% in some countries. iDE CEO Lihy Teuerstein and Alexandra Spieldoch recently visited Kenya to witness the impact of their programs firsthand. Contributions to Bountifield in the past or planned support for iDE will now have a multiplied impact due to the partnership.
The integration of Bountifield International and International Development Enterprises (iDE) promises to amplify their impact globally. By combining their strengths, they aim to empower more rural kings, with a focus on women, and transform lives across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
