Chase to Introduce New Business Credit Card and Boost Annual Fees on Major Sapphire Reserve

Updated Version:

Hey, Travel & Business Gurus!

Listen up, cause I've got some juicy deets for ya! The ol' Chase Sapphire Reserve® is gettin' a spiffy makeover, and I gotta say, it's gonna cost ya a pretty penny.

Starting June 23rd, 2025, you're gonna see some big changes. Namely, a higher annual fee of $795 for both the personal and business versions of the Sapphire Reserve. But don't worry, they're also launchin' a new business version, ideal for luxury business travel and expenses.

Now that I've got your attention, let's dive in!

The Sapphire Reserve Revamp

Yup, you read that right. The Sapphire Reserve is splashin' out with new perks and benefits to match that hefty annual fee. And just a sidenote, if ya already got the card before June 23rd, 2025, fret not. You'll still get access to the new benefits, but your payment will only adjust to $795 on your next anniversary date, post-October 26th, 2025.

Travel Benefit Changes For The Sapphire Reserve

Both versions of the Sapphire Reserve share the same travel benefits, with some tweaks here and there. As of June 23rd, 2025, the Sapphire Reserve's reward points system will look a little different:

  • Now, you'll earn 8X points on Chase Travel purchases, instead of the current 5X on flights and 10X on hotels & car rentals booked through Chase Travel.
  • Flight and hotel bookings made directly? No worries! You'll still get 4X points.

On the plus side, both cards will come with a $500 credit for The Edit, Chase Travel's collection of luxury hotels and resorts, along with complimentary IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite Status through December 31, 2027.

Introducing Points Boost

Need that extra boost to your points? The new Points Boost program offers the opportunity to get bonuses of up to 2X on hotel and flight redemptions with select airlines and hotels, through Chase Travel. For purchases not eligible for Points Boost offers, points can be redeemed at a 1:1 rate on Chase Travel.

Sapphire Reserve Dining & Lifestyle Credits

To add to the inaugural celebration, the personal version of the Sapphire Reserve will grant 3X points for dining purchases and throw in some sweet dining and lifestyle credits:

  • Craving a fancy meal out? Enjoy a $300 dining credit and priority reservations at Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables, with $150 available semi-annually.
  • Looking for some tunes or movies? Get $250 annual value with complimentary subscriptions to Apple TV+ and Apple Music.
  • Love livin' it up at concerts or events? Score a $300 annual credit for StubHub and viagogo tickets ($150 semi-annually - just gotta activate it).
  • Bike 'til ya drop? You'll earn 10X points on eligible Peloton equipment & accessories until December 31, 2027, and score up to $120 annual statement credits for Peloton Membership purchases.

Sapphire Reserve for Business Credits

Caterin' to the entrepreneur, the Sapphire Reserve for Business card comes packin' with juicy business-centric perks:

  • Boost your advertising game by earnin' 3X points on social media & search engine ad purchases.
  • Get a $400 credit with ZipRecruiter ($200 semi-annually).
  • Achieve $200 annual credit for Google Workspace towards AI tools for business.
  • Score a $100 credit for Giftcards.com ($50 semi-annually).

Spending Incentives

If you spend $75,000 annually on the personal card, or $120,000 on the business card, you'll unlock juicy benefits:

  • IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite Status.
  • Southwest Airlines A-List Status.
  • $500 Southwest Airlines credit when booked through Chase Travel.
  • $250 (personal) / $500 (business) statement credit at The Shops at Chase, an exclusive online shopping outlet.

Lounge Access & Travel Insurance

Yeah, you heard me. No changes to lounge access, guest privileges, travel insurance benefits, or the $10 monthly Lyft in-app credits, plus 5X points on eligible rides until September 30th, 2027.

Plus, you still get $300 annual value in monthly DoorDash promos and a complimentary DashPass membership worth $120 annually!

The Big Picture

The Sapphire Reserve is still a fabulous go-to option for premium travel protection and perks. Despite the steeper annual fee, you'll be showered with over $2,700 in total value, and a whopping $1,200+ in travel credits alone. So, if you jet-set regularly, it's probably worth the investment.

Entrepreneurs and business owners with travel needs will find the new Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business a lucrative choice, thanks to its tailored business-centric features.

  1. With the updated Chase Sapphire Reserve, individuals who prioritize both lifestyle and business can take advantage of the new business version, designed for luxury travel and expenses, offering a myriad of benefits in finance and travel.
  2. To complement regular travel and dining, the personal version of the updated Sapphire Reserve provides various credits, such as a $300 dining credit, Apple TV+ and Apple Music subscriptions, and StubHub and viagogo tickets, providing added value for a vibrant, rewarding lifestyle.
