Commencing October 22, air cushion transportation for passengers will be implemented.
In a significant change to the passenger ferry service in Yakutsk, the Republic of Yakutia has introduced the use of hovercrafts (Air Cushioned Landing Systems - ACLS) for the transfer service from Yakutsk to the 204th microdistrict (Namyv station area) and the Lower Bestyakh railway station, starting from October 22.
This innovative transportation method offers a convenient option for passengers traveling to the Lower Bestyakh railway station, particularly during the winter months when the river is frozen.
The transfer service is available daily, with the new departure time for the transfer from Yakutsk to the 204th microdistrict (Namyv station area) set at 14:00 local time. The cost for this service remains unchanged at 1800 rubles for passengers.
Children under the age of 5 continue to travel free on this service, while those aged 5 to 12 receive a 50% discount.
For those planning travel, it is strongly recommended to check updated schedules and statuses shortly before the trip, as river and weather conditions can affect operations.

This could potentially open up new opportunities for development and investment in transportation infrastructure and services.
The introduction of hovercrafts for transportation services, like the one from Yakutsk to the Lower Bestyakh railway station, offers a unique experience for travelers, especially during winter months, making it an attractive option for the finance sector, including insurance and tourism-related finance.
The shift in transportation methods, such as the use of hovercrafts, can influence various sectors, including finance, as it brings changes to travel patterns and frequency, possibly leading to increased spending in the lifestyle industry, such as accommodation and dining, during travels.
