In an exciting development, the Bloomberg Connects project, backed by Bloomberg Philanthropies, has teamed up with the Thai Media Fund (TMF) and Imagineear (Thailand) Co Ltd to promote and showcase Thailand’s diverse cultural heritage on a global scale.
The collaboration aims to serve the purpose of cultural preservation and innovation in media. The project involves the creation and distribution of immersive media content that highlights the country’s rich history and vibrant traditions through the Bloomberg Connects cultural app. This app allows audiences worldwide to access high-quality multimedia representations of Thai cultural sites and practices at no cost.
Adrian Apperley, Business Development Director for Asia Pacific at Imagineear (Thailand) Co Ltd, expressed gratitude for the partnership with TMF. He believes that Bloomberg Connects can elevate Thai stories, voices, and traditions, making them accessible worldwide.
Key objectives of the project include providing international exposure for Thai cultural sites, empowering local multimedia professionals through training, and supporting education, tourism, and cultural diplomacy. A memorandum of understanding has been established between TMF and Imagineear (Thailand) Co Ltd, signifying a shared commitment to cultural preservation, international storytelling, and innovation in media.
