Juan Manuel Fuentes del Alma, a renowned contemporary artist with a significant presence in the Latin American art scene, is set to captivate visitors with his latest exhibition, "Tierras Lejanas, Paraísos Perdidos." The exhibition, which will be open to the public from August 13 to October 3, is taking place at Casa de los Navajas in Torremolinos.

Fuentes del Alma's art presents nature in both serene, realistic forms and hidden, mysterious guises. His characters interact with their surroundings, forming part of a world where conventional rules are sometimes inverted, giving rise to fantastical scenes detached from reality. The paintings in the exhibition have a visionary approach, creating a complex realm of mystery and imagination.

The "Tierras Lejanas, Paraísos Perdidos" exhibition will showcase lyrical and recognisable scenes with gothic and enigmatic elements. Clothing, objects, furniture, and actions in the paintings contribute to the intricate narrative, inviting viewers to delve deeper into the dreamlike worlds portrayed.

Fuentes del Alma's work has been exhibited in prestigious venues such as Madrid's art galleries, the Madrid Casino, and the National Music Auditorium. Internationally, his art has been displayed at the Abud Foundation in New Jersey, the Sintra Museum of Contemporary Art in Portugal, the Litio Gallery in Mexico, and various Paris venues including Levallois Perret, Casa de España, L'Institut Audiovisuel, and Le Grand Palais.

The 19th-century aesthetic with hints of the Pre-Raphaelite movement is evident in the paintings and their characters. Cultivated landscapes crafted by human hands offer tranquil, familiar vistas that invite contemplation.

The exhibition opening viewing is scheduled for August 12 at 8pm. Public viewing hours for "Tierras Lejanas, Paraísos Perdidos" are from 10.30am to 2pm and 6.30pm to 10pm, with the exhibition being open to the public free of charge from Wednesday to Sunday, including holidays.
