Gathering in the Greenery: A Celebration of Literary Artistry and the Natural World
The much-anticipated Poesie im Park (PiP) festival is set to return to the beautiful Biebrich Castle Park in Wiesbaden from Friday, August 8th to Sunday, August 10th, 2024. This three-day celebration of music, art, and human connection will once again transform the park into a vibrant hub of creativity and camaraderie.
On the opening day, Friday, August 8th, visitors can join a guided tour and artist presentation on the Kunstrasen (lawn area between the castle and the pond) at 4:00 PM. The evening will be filled with a variety of performances, starting with the Open Stage under the motto "Walhalla im Exil" at 5:00 PM. The highlight of the evening will be the performances by Max & Wax, a duo reminiscent of Simon and Garfunkel, and Le Marmalade du Montage, a brass band from Wiesbaden.
Saturday and Sunday will follow the same axis, with artists performing throughout the day. On Saturday, August 10th, the lineup includes Xhol Caravan, Udo Gottfried, Ed Baga, Andrea Noeske-Porada, Titus Grab, Andreas Bausch, Peter Klesius, Nicola Schössler, Albrecht Haag, Manocheher Seyed Motazavi, Thomas Sterna, Christiana Stez, and many more. The day will conclude with reggae music by Abass and Friends and a psychedelic-sweet soul performance by Theodor from Darmstadt.
The festival will close on Sunday, August 11th, with a singer-songwriter performance by Sabine Gramenz and friends on the main stage.
The Poesie im Park festival is not only a celebration of art and music but also a commitment to sustainability and accessibility. The event is barrier-free, and the festival organisers are dedicated to minimising its environmental impact.
