On Sunday mornings events, a traveler was apprehended by law enforcement agencies and Mexican aviation company Volaris, claiming his actions aimed to redirect a domestic Mexican flight towards American soil. Inquiries into the matter are ongoing.

Following their trip from El Bajio towards Tijuana, the traveler attempted to force the plane's course, necessitating an urgent landing at Guadalajara Airfield. The airline then announced this development via a press release. The team diligently adhered to established safety protocols and procedures to apprehend the passenger.

The National Guard was informed of the situation, as stated by the Federal Civil Aviation Agency, although their specific involvement remains unclarified. CNN attempted to obtain comments from Mexico's Department of Federal Security and Volaris, but has yet to receive a response.

Fortunately, all passengers and crew members emerged unharmed, according to Volaris. The airline expressed its regret over the disturbance and reiterated its unwavering commitment to the well-being of its travelers and staff.

The flight resumed its journey to Tijuana after the passenger's detention in Guadalajara, without any subsequent incidents, the airline confirmed.
