KOL Unveils Mezcaleria for Post-Dinner Delights
KOL, the London restaurant renowned for its modern Mexican cuisine, has unveiled a new Mezcaleria for the final act of its dining experience. Curated by Head of Pastry Laura Petersén, this dedicated space offers a delightful conclusion to the meal. KOL, under the helm of Michelin-starred chef Santiago Lastra, continues to captivate diners with its innovative approach to Mexican cuisine, using the best of British ingredients.
KOL's menus are a testament to the seasons, with ingredients sourced from the UK and prepared using traditional Mexican methods. The result is a unique culinary experience that has earned the restaurant a Michelin star since 2020 and a place among the World's 50 Best Restaurants list, one of only two UK entries. The chef de cuisine, though not identified, continues to push the boundaries of Mexican cuisine, drawing in celebrities such as Tom Cruise and Dua Lipa.
The Mezcaleria, a new addition to KOL's offerings, is inspired by Mexico's post-dinner traditions. It presents a selection of fine mezcals, dessert wines, digestifs, and infusions made with British botanicals. This immersive journey to Mexico is further enhanced by KOL's interiors, designed by Alessio Nardi of A-NRD Studio, which blend London's European sensibility with Mexican culture. The open kitchen, a centrepiece of the restaurant, reflects transparency and respect for the craft of cooking.
KOL's new Mezcaleria, curated by Laura Petersén, is set to become a highlight of the restaurant's dining experience. With its commitment to the best of British ingredients, innovative Mexican cuisine, and now, a dedicated space for post-dinner delights, KOL continues to redefine the fine dining landscape in London.
