Passengers at Gelendzhika Airport surpassed 2,700 in a week's time.

Gelendzhik, a popular summer destination on the Black Sea coast, is set to welcome more visitors this season as Aeroflot and Ural Airlines, along with newcomer Utair, increase their flight services from Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Starting August 3, 2025, Utair will commence weekly flights from St. Petersburg's Pulkovo Airport to Gelendzhik. The service will operate on Sundays, with the exact departure time yet to be announced [1][3][4]. Simultaneously, from Moscow's Vnukovo Airport, Utair will start operating flights thrice a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with departures at 09:20 [1][3]. The flight duration for both routes is approximately 4 hours and 25 minutes from Moscow and approximately 5 hours from St. Petersburg [1][3].

These new services are part of a broader effort to boost tourist flows to Gelendzhik during the summer months [1][2][3]. Aeroflot marked the resumption of flights to Gelendzhik on July 18, 2025, with the first flight in three years, which was greeted with a water arch at stand No.5 [5].

Ural Airlines, previously not mentioned as an operator of flights to Gelendzhik, is also among the airlines offering services from Moscow. However, more details about their schedule are yet to be announced [2].

In its first week of operation, Gelendzhik Airport served 2,753 passengers, as per the airport's press service [6]. The airport operated 9 flights during this period [6].

For those planning their summer travels, tickets for these flights can be purchased on Utair's official website and the Cozy Sky app [1].
