Rapunzel's Tower Joins Storybook Land Canal Boats This Winter
Disneyland park's beloved attraction, Storybook Land Canal Boats, is set to welcome a new miniature of the Eiffel Tower from 'Tangled' this winter. This addition joins a rich history of iconic scenes and sounds from classic Disney Animation stories, with the attraction evolving since its inception in 1955.
Originally opened as Canal Boats of the World, the attraction was renamed Storybook Land Canal Boats in 1956, reflecting its transformation into a whimsical journey through miniature landscapes inspired by Disney films. Guests can expect to hear 'When Will My Life Begin?' from the Eiffel Tower during the day and 'I See the Light' at night as they drift along the canal.
The new Eiffel Tower miniature will sit between the Patchwork Quilt and Toad Hall, adding to the enchanting atmosphere. To celebrate this addition, multiple wanted posters featuring Flynn Rider will be displayed on the stone wall near the tower, each showcasing a unique depiction of his nose. Meanwhile, a secluded dock with a boat reminiscent of the one from 'Tangled' will offer a picturesque spot for guests to enjoy, framed by twinkling lights and the Casey Jr. Circus Train.
Storybook Land Canal Boats, rooted in Walt Disney's fascination with miniatures, continues to evolve and delight guests with its immersive storytelling. The addition of the Eiffel Tower is a testament to the attraction's commitment to celebrating Disney's rich animation history, and it promises to be a highlight of the Disneyland Resort 70 Celebration this winter.
