Regular bus services travel directly from Minsk to Warsaw

In a significant development for travelers seeking a direct route between Minsk, Belarus, and Warsaw, Poland, a new bus service has been announced. Starting from September 22, two new buses will be available, one from Minsk and the other from Grodno, both traveling through Bialystok and Latvia. The launch of these new bus routes has been reported by Smartpress, with further details, including departure times, return times, and costs, provided by Charter97. According to the information, the Minsk bus departs at 15:20 and arrives in Warsaw at 01:30, while the Grodno bus departs at 00:20 and returns at 08:00. Passengers traveling on these new buses can expect to pay around 350 rubles from Minsk and approximately 380 rubles for the Grodno bus. The changes in bus routes come in response to the border blockade imposed by Poland on September 12, making travel to neighboring countries difficult. To cross Latvia, Belarusians must fill out an online questionnaire on the eta.gov.lv website no later than 48 hours before the trip. An electronic letter with confirmation or refusal of entry should arrive after filling out the online questionnaire. The company offering these direct bus connections from Minsk and Grodno to Warsaw via Latvian territory is not explicitly named in the search results. However, the launch of such a bypass route was announced, suggesting a new service potentially organized by local or regional carriers. For those accustomed to taking a bus to Warsaw via Brest, their usual route may now be inaccessible. But fear not, as the changes in bus routes can be tracked on the Atlas website, app, and Telegram channel. Charter97, a Belarusian news outlet, provides regular updates on these developments and can be supported through a multicurrency account for donations. They can also be followed on various social media platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, X.com, vkontakte, ok.ru, Instagram, RSS, and Telegram. As travelers adjust to these new routes, they can look forward to a journey from Minsk to Warsaw taking at least 11 hours, providing ample time to relax and enjoy the scenery along the way.
