Scania Unveils High-Floor Battery-Electric Bus & Coach Platform at Busworld Europe

Scania has introduced a new high-floor battery-electric bus and coach platform at Busworld Europe, marking its entry into zero-emission coach news, and expanding its market reach.

The platform, designed for flexibility, offers adaptable e-machine output (up to 330 kW), installed energy (up to 534 kWh), and charging capacity (up to 325 kW). It caters to urban applications and provides a scalable pathway to zero-emission bus rapid transit news.

Carl-Johan Lööf, Scania's Head of Product Management for People Transport Solutions, assures coach and bus operators that the new platform addresses their concerns about combining zero-emission news with diverse assignments. The platform is suitable for various coach tasks, such as medium-distance inter-city traffic, airport shuttles, and sports team coaches.
