June 1 - Sochi Daily. 6 The long-awaited "Tea Way" festival, a vibrant celebration of Sochi's Chinese-inspired tea culture, is about to kick off in the square next to the "Riviera" beach complex. The event is set to coincide with Sochi's city celebrations, according to the resort's press release.
Caught up in the excitement are five major enterprises and numerous small businesses in the city, all heavily involved in tea cultivation, processing, and agritourism. Each one of them is eager to showcase their offerings at the "Tea Way" Festival. As per Deputy Mayor, Evgeny Gorobets, the event will delve deep into the global experiences and scientific facts surrounding tea cultivation in cold climates.
Stepping into the open-air tea town, visitors can savor over thirty diverse Black Sea tea varieties grown in Southern Russia for free. Join Slavic and Chinese tea ceremonies, masterclasses, and browse local artisans' market stalls. World-class artists, including special guests from China, like the dance and vocal groups from the Herzen Institute of Music, Theater, and Choreography, will grace the impromptu stage alongside Russian troupes.
Coordinated by the international tour operator "Alatur" and the Sochi Geographic Society, the event enjoys the support of the resort's administration.
