Spotlight on the already radiant talent of Chléa Giguère
Chloé Giguère, a 19-year-old dancer from Quebec, has achieved a significant milestone in her career as she has been chosen to join the internationally renowned Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT).
Giguère's journey to the Dutch company began at the tender age of 16 when she moved to Basel, Switzerland, to pursue her dream of becoming a dancer. Her parents have been her pillars of support throughout this journey.
Specializing in both ballet and contemporary dance, Giguère has honed her skills over the years, participating in numerous auditions and summer intensives. She recently completed her bachelor's degree in dance at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where the NDT company is based.
Last November, Giguère submitted her audition video to NDT and was selected for a two or three-year contract with NDT 2, the division for dancers aged 23 and under in the company. She started her contract with NDT this month, considering it as living her dream.
Giguère acknowledges that the life of an artist and a dancer is not easy or stable. However, she finds herself "very lucky" to have a contract of this magnitude in the dance world. Despite the challenges, she finds it difficult to be far from her loved ones when she first left home for dance training. Her family has planned to attend her first show in September.
In Quebec, efforts are being made to boost youth spectacle attendance. The Grand-Espace, a new theater for young people, could help catch up the lag in this area in Sherbrooke and the Estrie region.
Unfortunately, there is limited information available about Giguère's journey from Montreal's dance scene to the Nederlands Dans Theater. However, her story serves as an inspiration for aspiring dancers, showcasing the hard work, dedication, and perseverance required to succeed in the professional dance world.
Chloé Giguère's achievement with the Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) has sparked interest in various aspects of her journey, including her culture, lifestyle, and fashion-and-beauty. As a dancer, her interest in food-and-drink might extend to exploring Dutch culinary delights. Her home-and-garden decor might reflect her personal taste, a blend of Quebec and European influences.
Relationships have played a crucial role in Giguère's journey, with her parents as her pillars of support. In the future, her relationships with fellow dancers and the NDT team will be valuable experiences for her education-and-self-development.
Traveling from Montreal to Basel, Switzerland, and now with the NDT, Giguère's experiences have exposed her to diverse cultures and landscapes. These travel experiences have broadened her worldview, enriching her both personally and professionally.
On the entertainment front, Giguère's career success with the NDT can serve as a source of inspiration for films, documentaries, or even a dance biography, highlighting her journey and the challenges she overcame.
Lastly, the sports aspect of her life extends beyond dancing, as she might engage in various fitness routines to maintain her physical prowess, ensuring she continues to excel in the world of sports and dance.
