Strategy Spotlight: Matt Altman in the Limelight

Matt Altman, the latest recruit at Gardenuity, has taken up the role of Corporate Partnership Lead. His duty is to boost the company's presence across various corporate entities by organizing gardening workshops aimed at improving employee wellness and connections.

We had a chat with Matt, discussing his professional journey, self-care practices, and favorite things.

Matt was drawn to Gardenuity following a conversation with the CEO, Donna, who impressed him with her energetic, passionate demeanor, and infectious enthusiasm for the company. Based in New York City, Matt visited Gardenuity's headquarters in Dallas to meet the team, and he praised the positive vibes and shared goals he encountered among the Gardenuity employees.

Prior to joining Gardenuity, Matt worked in medical device sales for four years, dealing with orthopedic equipment and eventually surgical equipment. He's excited about this new role due to the opportunity to transition from direct health assistance in medical sales to a more indirect contribution to wellness via gardening and its positive effects on mental health.

Although Matt hasn't started his gardening journey quite yet, he's looking forward to getting his hands dirty with his Gardenuity Grow Bag. He's a wellness enthusiast, focusing on personal health, fitness, food, and relationships.

To wind down, Matt enjoys hitting the gym or taking a break to unwind in Central Park, where he can feel grounded amidst nature. For an NYC night out, he recommends dining at Scalinatella for some chicken parmesan and then enjoying the city from above at a rooftop bar.

Here are a few fun facts about Matt:- Originally from New Fairfield, Connecticut.- Prefers Tequila soda as his go-to drink.- Loves citrus trees as his favorite plant.- His favorite food, if he could have his last meal on Earth, would be an acai bowl from the Sunrise Shack in Hawaii.- Loves to travel and recently visited Oahu, Hawaii.
