Three-vehicle collision in Grant County results in two individuals sustaining severe injuries.
In Grant County, Wisconsin, a three-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 80 on Monday, leaving two individuals seriously injured.
According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened north of Livingston, in the Town of Clifton, at approximately 6:15 p.m. The crash occurred when a Cassville resident, driving a Ford F250 towing an empty bale moving trailer southbound on Highway 80, slowed down and turned on his signal to make a left turn into a field drive. A Livingston resident following behind in a Ford Taurus, however, failed to notice the Ford F250 slowing down and did not manage to avoid hitting the trailer.
As a result, the Ford Taurus hit the trailer's rear, crossed the centerline, and collided with a northbound 2015 Kia driven by a Montfort resident. The 30-year-old driver of the Kia had to be removed from his vehicle by Monfort Fire, and was later taken to Southwest Health Center for treatment. The driver of the Ford Taurus was cited for inattentive driving and, according to the report, was driving without insurance.
Unfortunately, no new information about the current condition of those involved was provided in the report, and no details about the nature of the injuries were disclosed. The 30-year-old driver of the Kia, whose name and date of birth were not available in the provided search results, was also seriously injured in the crash. The driver of the Ford Taurus was also injured in the accident.
The Grant County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the crash, and no further information has been released at this time. Our thoughts are with those who were injured in the accident, and we hope for their speedy recovery.
