Travelers from Belarus will now have the option to fly to two additional destinations, directly from Minsk.
Belarus is set to enhance its air connectivity with two new destinations, Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Seychelles. The formalization of these agreements was published on the Pravo.by portal on May 26, 2025, after being ratified by Belarusian Law Nos. 73-Z and 74-Z.
The air service agreement with Saudi Arabia was inked on October 22, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur, aiming to facilitate passenger and cargo transport and potentially bolster commercial and diplomatic ties. The agreement with the Seychelles, though the exact signing date is unclear based on available sources, has also been ratified by Belarus as of May 26, 2025 (Law No. 74-Z). Both agreements provide the foundation for direct aviation links between Belarus and their respective nations, with the Seychelles likely attracting tourists seeking beach vacations.
Belavia and the Ministry of Transport announced in early 2024 their intention to establish air communication with the Seychelles. These new avenues of air travel are expected to boost economic, diplomatic, and people-to-people interactions between Belarus and these countries.
