Vietnam's Tourism Boom: China Promotional Event to Attract More Visitors

Vietnam's tourism sector is booming, with a significant surge in Chinese visitors and investments. In 2024, Chinese tourist arrivals reached 3.7 million, a staggering 214% increase, and by August 2025, that number had climbed to 3.5 million. Meanwhile, China has emerged as Vietnam's third-largest foreign investor, pouring in $4.7 billion in 2024 and over $3.1 billion in the first eight months of 2025, marking a 37.6% increase.

To capitalize on this growth, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) is organizing a promotional event in China from October 19 to 28. The event will cover major cities like Beijing, Chongqing, and Chengdu, inviting tourism agencies and companies to participate. The aim is to update policies, promote destinations, establish business cooperation, and attract more Chinese tourists to Vietnam. Businesses are encouraged to register and sponsor gifts for a lucky draw by October 4.

The promotional event in China is a testament to the growing relationship between Vietnam and China in tourism and trade. With a significant increase in Chinese visitors and investments, Vietnam is eager to build on this momentum and strengthen its ties with its neighbor. The event is expected to attract more Chinese tourists, foster business cooperation, and promote Vietnam's destinations to a wider audience.
