West Hollywood Welcomes EDITION Hotel: A Luxury Haven on Sunset Strip
The West Hollywood EDITION Hotel, a collaboration between Ian Schrager and Marriott International, has opened its doors on the corner of West Sunset Boulevard and North Doheny Drive. This marks the first true luxury hotel experience on the Sunset Strip and the first West Coast location in the EDITION collection.
The hotel boasts an impressive 140 guest rooms and 48 suites, including two penthouses, along with 20 luxury residences. Spanning over 6,500 square feet, the meeting and event space caters to various functions. The modern building was designed by renowned British architect John Pawson, featuring dramatic proportions and rich materials like Western Red Cedar and Italian travertine.
Upon arrival, guests can choose from a variety of experiences. The subterranean club, Sunset, offers a vibrant atmosphere, while the rooftop provides breathtaking 360-degree vistas from the ocean to downtown Los Angeles. Ardor, the signature restaurant led by Michelin-starred chef John Fraser, presents a greenery-filled garden for al fresco dining and an intimate, energy-filled interior. Additionally, the hotel houses a multimedia performance space and a spa blending wellness, mindfulness, and beauty.
Each of the 140 guestrooms and 50 suites features a soothing light neutral palette, whitewashed Siberian Larch wood, floor-to-ceiling sliding screens, freestanding tubs, and Le Labo products. The Roof, seating 130, offers a soaring glass and beamed indoor-outdoor space, perfect for enjoying the panoramic views. The West Hollywood EDITION Hotel promises a unique microcosm of luxury, service, and entertainment, setting a new standard for hospitality on the Sunset Strip.
