ZIMA Notting Hill: A Cultural Culinary Gem

Notting Hill's newest culinary gem, ZIMA Notting Hill, opened its doors in February 2025. This vibrant, art-filled restaurant combines Russian soul with modern sophistication, offering a unique dining experience for both locals and visitors.

ZIMA Notting Hill, the second location of the ZIMA group in London, is nestled near Portobello Road and the famous Notting Hill bookshop. The 45-seat restaurant serves as both a neighborhood gem and a cultural destination, drawing inspiration from its vibrant surroundings.

The restaurant's name, ZIMA, translates to 'winter' in Russian and also echoes the founder's surname. The interiors reflect this Russian heritage, featuring hand-painted spinning wheels and restored 19th-century sledges, alongside canvases from Russian and Eastern European artists.

ZIMA Notting Hill offers a seasonal culinary program, with collaborations with acclaimed Eastern European chefs. The menu showcases traditional Russian dishes such as pelmeni dumplings, caviar with blinis, and rye bread with pickles. To complement the food, the restaurant serves signature vodka infusions like horseradish, strawberry and basil, plum and clove, and sea buckthorn.

In June 2025, a six-course menu featuring venison, foie gras, scallops, and sturgeon was served under the helm of an acclaimed chef, although the specific name was not found in available search results.

ZIMA Notting Hill, with its unique blend of Russian soul and modern sophistication, has become a must-visit destination in the heart of Notting Hill. Its art-filled setting, traditional yet innovative cuisine, and signature vodka infusions create a memorable dining experience that celebrates Eastern European culture.
